The BSides Infosec Conference Returns to Leeds

On Friday 25 January, BSides returns to Leeds for another exciting day of lectures, workshops and networking opportunities.

BSides is an international community lead infosec conference intended to promote topics and discussions which are often neglected at bigger conferences.

This year marks BSides’ 10th anniversary and the second instalment of BSides Leeds. The conference is ideal for both offensive and defensive infosec professionals and is a great opportunity for students and young professionals who want to network and better seat themselves in the industry.

What to expect at this year's conference

This year we have three categories – technical, motivational and a handful of rookie speakers giving their first ever talks. It’s a fantastic mix with something for everyone to get stuck in to.

Explore automotive security in the UK’s first ever Car Hacking Village – a specialist space with a real working ‘car in a box’ engine simulator. Clear your mind in the UK’s first ever Mental Health Village from DEFCON, who will be providing talks, support, activities and even a couple of massage therapists to help you unwind. And of course, let’s not forget the Lock Picking Village where you can learn and apply your physical security skills.

Free drinks after the conference

We’re happy to announce Precursor Security are sponsoring the bar at this year’s BSides after-party, which will feature the world premiere of Hacker Blockbusters – a live game show inspired by the classic 80s TV game show Blockbusters. This will be provided courtesy of Aaron Lint, the creative mind behind Hacker Jeopardy at DEFCON.

So if you haven’t already, grab your ticket here and come and have a few on us (literally) after the conference has finished.
