Everything you need to know about working at Precursor Security.

We regularly hire CREST-certified penetration testers (junior to principal level), SOC analysts (Tier 1-3), incident responders, compliance consultants, and security engineers. Check our careers portal for current openings or submit a speculative application if your skills match our services.
For pentesting roles, we value OSCP, CREST CRT/CCT, or equivalent hands-on certifications. SOC roles benefit from CCSA, GIAC certifications, or security tool experience (Elastic, Sentinel, CrowdStrike). We support certification training and exam costs for career development.
Yes. We are remote-first. Most roles can be performed fully remotely with occasional travel for client meetings or team events. SOC roles require reliable home internet for 24/7 shift work. Office access available in Leeds, London, Newcastle, and Edinburgh for those who prefer hybrid working.
All employees receive an annual training budget for courses, certifications, and conferences. Pentesters follow a structured CREST progression path. SOC analysts receive tool-specific training and access to threat intelligence platforms. We also run internal knowledge sharing sessions and CTF competitions.
Benefits include competitive salary, pension contribution, private healthcare, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, certification and training budget, home office equipment allowance, and flexible working hours. SOC shift workers receive additional shift allowances.
Some client engagements (government, critical infrastructure) require SC or DV clearance. We support clearance applications for eligible candidates. Many roles do not require clearance, so it is not a barrier to application unless specified in the job posting.
Typically 2-4 weeks from application to offer. This includes CV review (1 week), technical interview (scheduled within 1 week), hands-on assessment (scheduled same week), and final offer. We prioritize timely communication and feedback at each stage.
